Day 2

My second day went not as I had hoped. It had a good start to it when I got on the scale and saw it already went down 4 pounds. I weigh myself daily, so I know weight fluctuates during the week and I still just like to keep track of it. It is one of my motivators. After that I ate breakfast, did my squats and made lunch. Then I got ready for work and had my snack. My day was going according to plan until I got to work.

As soon as I got to work I started to crave sweets and we have a concession stand at work since it was auction night. I couldn't resist the urge even though I brought my dinner and dessert with me. I ended up buying a whoopee pie. It had so not have been worth it and I immediately regretted my choice. Later I had my dinner and dessert when I got home.

Sometimes those of us struggle, but you shouldn't beat yourself up about the past. You should move on from it and try to do better tomorrow.

Day 1

So my first day went really well. I was so busy all day cooking. Most of my recipes are for 4 servings, so I pack 3 away for other days. As soon as I got up in the morning I had my medication for PCOS. Along with that I took my supplements.

I proceeded to go for a morning walk around town.

It was freezing, but I had a ton of energy.

I was also trying out these new headphones that I received from aLLreLi. They work great and they are bluetooth, so there aren't a wire that I have to fight with when I go on walks.

I came across this house that had some writing on the side of it.

Then I decided to take a walk through the graveyard. There were some very interesting gravestones that I found...

I also stumbled across a stone with my grandparents' last name on it.

This was such a fun walk. I like to pay my respects to those who have past away.

I will give you the first recipe that I have tried out. They are flourless banana pancakes and the recipe makes one serving.

Ingredients:
  • 1 1/2 large ripe bananas
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/4 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1/8 tsp baking powder
  • maple syrup (optional)
  • fresh fruit (optional)
Preparation:
  1. Crack the eggs in a bowl and whisk them.
  2. In another bowl, lightly mash the bananas with a potato masher or a fork. I find that a potato masher works the best.
  3. Add the egg, baking powder, vanilla, and cinnamon to the mashed bananas and stir to combine.
  4. Pour about 2 tablespoons of the batter at a time onto a skillet placed over a medium-low heat and cook until the bottom appears set (1 to 2 minutes). Flip with a spatula and cook another minute.
  5. Serve immediately, topped with fresh fruit and maple syrup (if you like).
I love these so much they are very filling and gives you the energy to get your morning started. I like to have a cup of almond milk with my breakfast.

I'm back!!!!

Hey sorry to be gone since I had promised to write all the time about my weight loss journey, but you know how life tends to just happen sometimes. Well now I'm back and I'm done 50 pounds. Woohoo!!!! Only 85 pounds left to go.

So I was on Nutrisystem for 6 months and that is how I got down 50 pounds. I had to make a switch because my stomach wasn't liking the food anymore and I started to feel sick on I think the amount of bread I was eating. I did enjoy getting those bears though they were nice little celebrations on a job well done.

Now I'm trying out what my OBGYN advised me to go on..... the Paleo Diet. I looked up a bunch of recipes and did my research. I will give you the recipes that I have found and will let you know how they taste. I was advised to go on this diet because they are treating me for PCOS. I don't technically have any cysts..... yet, but I'm experiencing all of the symptoms. So they are going through and treating me just like I did have it. I think especially since my mom had PCOS after she had me when she was 23 and I'm 22 right now.

I'm feeling a lot better since I have lost 50 pounds. I haven't really exercised the entire time on Nutrisystem, so I just started exercising and I'm surprising myself at how much easier it is for me to walk around the block and to even walk up the stairs. My goal is still to get to 170 pounds..... yes that does mean that I started out weighing 305 pounds. Below is my before and present photos. My boyfriend, Ryan, has also been loosing weight along with me his recent heaviest back when I started was 300 pounds now he is at 245 pounds. I am very proud of his success even though I wished that I could loose weight just as fast as he can I know that I'm not built that way and I accept it.

Ryan is currently doing a fast in order to get done to his goal weight of 210 to 200 pounds. I don't necessarily approve of fasting, but I do understand why he needs to do it and I support him. Just as he supports all of the diets that I have tried. I just don't tell him of all the supplements that I'm about to start trying because even though they are all natural he doesn't believe that pills are good for loosing weight. I'll let you guys also know how these different pills that I have work because we can all be in it together. Well good night and I'll report back tomorrow on how day 1 went.
