Powered Through to 20 lb Weight Loss

Today I was so excited when I found out that I had lost 20 lbs so far. I'm so happy with my weight loss so far and I can't believe that it has only been a month since I've started Nutrisystem. I'm starting to look into different workout plans, but as of right now I've been doing my own thing: treadmill, Zumba, Just Dance and the Biggest Loser. I don't know if anyone is reading this, but I would love to help in any way with others weight loss journey. From giving tips on what I see working and not, to support since it's hard for anyone to loose weight on their own. I would love to hear about anyone's journey.

First NutriBear!!! Progress




Today I was so excited my next shipment of Nutrisystem came and so did this cute little girl. Her name is Pound and he says "Congratulations on your initial weight loss." She's here to keep you motivated as you continue toward your goal weight. I can't wait until I get my next one and many more after that.

As of today I have lost 19.4 lbs so the next one will be on its way next month. I couldn't be happier with the weight loss so far. I just need to get over my brother and sisters making comments about the food and about me. :'( But this journey is for me not them and I just have to keep reminding myself of that.

Tonight is my brother's final band concert before he graduates from high school. I'm going to support him even after his comments. Since you can't choose who your family is.

My sister I think is in a downhill spin with her weight loss since her boyfriend broke up with her. Everyone could see it coming since he's a state away, but it hurt her more because he left her for another girl. They had broken up a few time before and now are trying to immediately become friends right off of the break up. But back to her weight loss she had been working out and eating well until a week before he broke up with her and now since she hasn't worked out or ate healthy. She hasn't even gotten on the scale. Well all I can say is if she has given up she will soon have a whole new wardrobe given to her by me when I get too small for my current clothes.

Plateau So Soon?!?!

Well today is Day 24 of my diet and I've lost 17 lbs, but right now it has slowed down a lot even though I'm doing more exercise. I'm not sure if I should be concerned yet or if this will pass. I'm crossing my fingers that it will pass and I'll have a good weight loss this week like I have had in the past.

Today is my little sister's 15th birthday. She's acting like she has a stick up her butt, but that's how she is most days. Now she just feels like she's entitled to everything since she is the birthday girl.

Day 23

This weekend I went off my diet for half a day for Ryan's birthday party where I had Chinese food and a couple mini cupcakes. Now I'm back at it and I got my healthy food for the next couple of weeks.

It's extremely challenging for me when Ryan and I go out to eat to pick something that is good for me. Even when I have a book which states what I can and cannot get from these restaurants. I have to get better at this I know because I really want to be successful in my weight loss. I have lost 16.4 pounds now. Having gone up a little because of Ryan's birthday.

I'm trying to overcome the highs and lows that I have been having for the past month since leaving college. I think it's to do with the fact that I have nothing to do until my mom takes me to PENNDOT to take my permit so I can drive so I will be able to start my career in Forensics. I'm trying to do this by keeping busy even if it is doing some things that are disgusting that I really don't want to do. Also it will keep me busy so I'm not laying on the couch all day and I get some exercise.

Today I decided to clean up my family's upstairs bathroom. Let me tell you how disgusting this bathroom was. Even though we clean it every week or two there was a layer of grim on the floor tiles that I had to scrub three time to get clean. Then the baseboards were covered in dust.... and even though my siblings are 17, 15, and 11 one of them keep picking their nose and wiping it on the wall which no one has decided to clean up for years. I am glad to say that it is finally clean and spotless of boogers. All of that work took 2 hours. All I have left to do today is the dishes. Finally I end my workout for today by doing some Zumba.

Day 20

Today is going pretty well so far. I'm doing pretty well on the whole drinking 8+ cups of water a day. I'm also getting the feeling that I'm more energized. I can't wait until I can see the change. I'm going to be starting to work out multiple times a day. So far today I did 60 minutes of Just Dance 4. I'm going to do 60 more minutes of that and then 60 of Zumba.

Today is Ryan's 23rd birthday, but he hates them so we probably won't be celebrating it. I did buy him new fishing gear though. We're having a yard sale at his house tomorrow which should be exhausting.

Day 19

Today is my first day writing this blog. I decided to write this so I can help others and give myself an outlet to my weight loss journey. So.. a little bit about myself. I'm 22 years old. I just graduated from college with a degree in Integrative Science with a concentration in Forensics. I have met the love of my life, Ryan, who I have been dating for the past year and a half.

I started Nutrisystem on April 26, 2015. The first week was tough since I was on their "Fast 5" plan. Those shakes were sooooo disgusting, I actually had to stop drinking them because it was getting to the point that I wouldn't be able to keep it down. I also didn't like the pasta meals, but that was the combination of me not liking pasta and the fact that it had been packaged in the sauce so it was all mushy. The first week I had lost 11 pounds my first week.

My second week went much better, but since I lost so much my first week I only lost 2 pounds last week. I was still happy that I lost weight and my family is saying that I already look thinner. I can't see it yet, but my mom can't see in herself how much she has lost in the past couple of years. For exercise I have been walking on the treadmill, zumba and just dance.

I really like the melts that they have for lunches. They are similar to hot pockets. I really don't care for the meal bars that they have. They're good, but I can't really get behind only eating that and veggies for lunch or only a bar for breakfast.

This week I'm on track that I could hit the 20 pound mark which is really exciting. I will post the photo of me with my nutribears when they come. I will answer any questions that are asked. I'll also post my progress photos as I continue in my journey.
